Everyone listens to music. Most really love and appreciate music and the artist and bands that create it. However, I think a lot of people never get to see the other side of things. You may think that you are just listening when you check out someone's music online, but in fact you are keeping their music, and by extension their career and dreams, alive. You see, music venues, radio stations, booking agents, etc. are all looking for artists/bands with large fan bases already. What’s Going On?
You wouldn't believe how many times in the past few weeks I've been asked, "What's Going On?" Quite frankly, most of those times I didn't have an answer. Life changes so rapidly at times that we don't even know what is happening until we are all of a sudden doing something else. I woke up this morning with the song "What's Going On" by the Four Non Blondes in my head. I think I'll spend the rest of this morning both developing my answer and making headway toward the new direction. They say, "When life throws you lemons, make lemonade." I say, "When life throws you lemons, make the best damn lemon meringue pie on the planet and pie life in the face!" It is all about perspective and finding the silver lining. When things go wrong in life, which they do quite regularly, its important to not let them knock you off course. There's no time to get unfocused, confused, or upset when you are flying 100 miles an hour at your hopes and dreams. One little slip up and you could hit a brick wall!
