Everyone listens to music. Most really love and appreciate music and the artist and bands that create it. However, I think a lot of people never get to see the other side of things. You may think that you are just listening when you check out someone’s music online, but in fact you are keeping their music, and by extension their career and dreams, alive.
You see, music venues, radio stations, booking agents, etc. are all looking for artists/bands with large fan bases already. Every time you like a page on facebook, follow someone on twitter, become a fan, sign up for a mailing list, or share their music with friends, you are keeping that art in existence.
The last couple days I have been blessed and amazed by the amount of support and encouragement I have received. Thank you for supporting my music! Please continue to show your support for me and all of the other artists that you love. Any successes I have will be because of you, the fans. I sincerely hope to be able to spend my whole life showing you just how thankful I am!

No, I don’t think people realize that just by visiting your site, listening to a song, hitting the like button, or sharing your site, that they are supporting you in an important way. I think it was great of you to let them know that and how much you appreciate it! Hope people are sharing you info like crazy…….or should I say, “McRae-zie!!!
